Introducing the autumn-only "Chestnut Pie," a sweet treat that captures the rich sweetness of chestnuts

Peter Luger Steakhouse Tokyo, the Tokyo branch of this steakhouse, which was founded in Brooklyn, New York, 135 years ago, will be selling an autumn-only dessert, "Chestnut Pie (with homemade shrug)," from Friday, September 19th to Friday, October 31st, 2025.

This seasonal chestnut pie is made with generous amounts of Japanese chestnuts from Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Western chestnuts from France.

A generous amount of Japanese chestnuts is added to the cream and filling, bringing out its moist, rich sweetness. Steamed chestnuts are topped on top to add depth of flavor. The crispy kadaif and the tartness of blackcurrants add an elegant accent to the rich chestnut flavor. Finished with homemade shrag (whipped cream), this is a sophisticated autumn dessert.
