When it comes to Peter Luger, the T-bone steak is the standout. We meticulously source this premium-grade beef from the highest-rated cuts classified by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), employing a discerning technique passed down through generations.
The chilled and air-shipped beef undergoes a unique aging process in a dedicated aging room within the restaurant for over a month. Aging enhances the flavor and aroma, resulting in a more tender texture. The well-aged meat is cut around the edges, seasoned with salt, and broiled in a special oven called a broiler to seal in the flavor.
After cutting and placing the meat on the plate with melted butter, it is returned to the broiler. After a few minutes of cooking, it is brought to the guest's table. This steak offers a unique flavor that intensifies with every bite—a truly unparalleled culinary experience.
Luger Burger
The Luger Burger is a well-loved choice at Peter Luger. The patty combines dry-aged prime-grade T-bone and rib sourced from our in-house aging room, along with fresh chuck eye roll. This blend allows you to enjoy the rich flavor of red meat and the enticing aroma of aging. Slow-cooked in a specialized oven known as a broiler, the result is a crispy surface, and with each bite, the juices spread, delivering a delightful culinary experience. It is served as a lunch menu in the dining room but is available all day at the first-floor bar.

Private label red wine is an essential complement to the dining experience at Peter Luger. It is crafted using low-yield grapes from the western slopes of Oakville, at the heart of Napa Valley. From cultivation to fermentation, every step is done by hand. You can enjoy the distinct Oakville flavor, characterized by robust structure, supple tannins, and a complex interplay of flavors.

On Peter Luger's first floor, you'll find a boutique dedicated to takeout. We offer raw meats like dry-aged T-bone, ribeye, and burger patties from our aging room. Our selection also includes generously sized American desserts, private-label steak sauces, wines, and coin chocolates. For souvenirs, we have logo-branded items like T-shirts and bags.
